The Downings

The frame’s reminiscent of the robust US military glasses, issued from the 1970s to 2012. So hideously unflattering, veterans labelled them BCGs (birth control glasses).They take their name from a picturesque village with awe-inspiring views of the Donegal landscape and the Atlantic. Downings maintains its tiny population but the Summer influx brings a melting pot of activity and accents. Along with the well-stocked Harbour Bar, its known for surfing and golf.
